A delegation from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University (THU), recently visited the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) to advance research and explore opportunities for future development in the Kura Kura Bali (KKB) area. The visit served as an important platform for academic exchange, policy dialogue, and collaborative exploration of sustainable regional growth.
As part of their program, the delegation joined a campus tour of TSEA and met with local government representatives, gaining firsthand insights into Indonesia’s development priorities and the Center’s role in regional innovation. These engagements also laid the groundwork for integrating research outcomes into the long-term development strategy of the KKB area.
The visit featured in-depth discussions with local Chinese and Indonesian professionals, focusing on key topics such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and the China-Indonesia economic and cultural partnership. Through these dialogues, participants shared perspectives on how infrastructure and industrial collaboration can drive mutual growth and strengthen people-to-people connections.
By the end of the visit, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to joint research and continuous engagement between Tsinghua University and TSEA. The outcomes of this collaboration are expected to contribute meaningfully to the future development of the KKB area, showcasing the power of cross-border partnerships in shaping a more connected and innovative Asia.
