25 January 2024 – TSEA welcomed a student delegation from Xinya College, Bali
TSEA welcomed a student delegation from Xinya College, Tsinghua University. The delegation included 18 students from various majors and was led by Prof. Haipeng Mi from the Academy of Art & Design.
The visit included a presentation by Ida Bagus Gede Wesnawa Punia, ST. M.Si from Bali’s Regional Development Planning Board, followed by a lengthy discussion on what Bali is currently doing to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with regard to tourism, agriculture, and other sectors, as well as the impact of Chinese investment on the development of the region.
The discussion was followed by a campus and island tour as well as a visit to The Confucius Institute at Udayana University
