13-16 February 2025 – Tsinghua SEA, Bali

From February 13–16, 2025, the Low Carbon Transformation for Conventional Energies (LCT4CE) Conference took place at the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center. Organized by Tsinghua University and hosted by Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, this high-level international forum gathered 38 participants, including researchers, engineers, and policymakers, to discuss innovations in low-carbon technologies for conventional energy sectors. The conference featured a series of expert presentations covering advancements in carbon-neutral power generation, heating, and transportation. Professors Guangxi Yue (Tsinghua University) and Chuang K. Law (Princeton University) chaired discussions, alongside prominent speakers from global institutions such as North China Electric Power University, the University of Western Australia, and King Abdullah University of Science & Technology. In addition to technical sessions, attendees engaged in policy dialogues, industry networking, and cultural activities, including an island tour and a visit to the Abode Museum. Key outcomes of the conference included strengthened international collaboration, policy recommendations for energy transition, and identification of future research priorities. The event reaffirmed Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center’s role as a hub for knowledge exchange, driving sustainable energy solutions for global communities.
