On August 22, 2023, the Startup Day Gathering event was hosted by TSEA, Bersama Coop, and Boleh Dicoba Digital in Bali. The Startup Day Gathering brought together leaders from 16 startups and ecosystem partners from Bandung, Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, Medan, and Makassar to create an ongoing dialogue to identify and address the main challenges within the startup ecosystem in Indonesia.
The event consisted of a group dialogue facilitated by Yuriko Billy (Boleh Dicoba Digital) and Rinda Liem (TSEA). The facilitated group dialogue helped identify the major barriers startups face with government, education, financing, Media, and in the Market.
The event concluded with group reflections on how to address and overcome these barriers and steps to move forward, including a renewed commitment to regularly hold Startup Day Gathering to better coordinate and facilitate the building of a strong national startup ecosystem in Indonesia.
