The Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) hosted a visit from the Teacher Education Centre under the auspices of UNESCO at the Cloud Lounge, Kura Kura Bali SEZ. The event opened with remarks from the Program Academic Team, followed by a warm welcome from Nimas Mega, Executive Director of TSEA, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation in advancing education.
Mike Tuori, Program Academic Director of TSEA, presented an overview titled “TSEA at a Glance,” introducing the center’s mission, key programs, and regional impact. The presentation helped the delegation understand TSEA’s role in promoting academic excellence and innovation across Southeast Asia.
Delegates from the Teacher Education Centre then introduced themselves, followed by a thoughtful discussion focused on higher education and potential collaborations. Ideas were exchanged around joint research, faculty training, and initiatives to improve teacher education systems globally.
To close the visit, the delegation presented a token of appreciation to TSEA, acknowledging the center’s efforts in the field of education. Guests were then taken on a tour of the TSEA campus and museum, offering insights into the institution’s facilities and cultural environment.
