The Global Innovation & Future Technology Summit (GIFTS) 2024, held on November 14-15 at UGM Innovation and Creativity Building (GIK), brought together nearly 150 participants in a hybrid format to explore innovation across STREAM fields (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Hosted by Tsinghua University, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and the National University of Singapore (NUS), the event featured inspiring talks, including an opening speech by Dean Wang Xiaoxiao of Tsinghua University and a panel on “Technology Commercialization” led by Prof. Edward F. Crawley. Prof. Mats Hanson and Dessy Aliandrina delivered an interactive session on integrating creativity and entrepreneurship, while a closing networking session, moderated by Michael Tuori, facilitated discussions on transforming universities into hubs of innovation and entrepreneurship. The summit successfully bridged academia and industry, driving impactful knowledge exchange and future collaboration.
