The Tsinghua University Alumni and TSEA Fellows Virtual Gathering, held on October 26, 2024, brought together nearly 100 participants from China, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia. The event served as a platform for alumni and fellows to reconnect, share ideas, and explore collaborative opportunities. Hosted by the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA), the program featured welcoming remarks from prominent figures, including H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Prof. Satryo, Prof. Yang Bin (Senior Tsinghua University Leader), Dean Wang Xiaoxiao (Director of TSEA), Prof. Ed Crawley, Prof. Song Sen, and Tang Jie. These remarks highlighted the importance of building strong alumni connections and fostering innovation.
The event continued with a plenary session that included alumni testimonials and an overview of TSEA’s initiatives. Participants then joined breakout sessions discussing topics such as academic programs, regional branding, research-industry collaboration, and Southeast Asia network partnerships. The gathering concluded with a collective sharing session, where key insights were presented, reinforcing the commitment to advancing regional development through the strength of the Tsinghua alumni network.
