On February 18, 2025, Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) hosted the webinar “Smart Governance in Action: How Sumedang is Leading Digital Innovation”. This event served as a branding initiative to introduce Happy Digital X (HDX), a transformative program promoting digital leadership and governance innovation. The session highlighted Sumedang Regency’s success in implementing digital solutions to enhance public service delivery, positioning it as a model for smart governance. A key speaker was Tuti Ruswati, the Regional Secretary of Sumedang Regency and an HDX alumna, who shared insights on how Sumedang leveraged data-driven decision-making to drive meaningful governance improvements. Hosted via Zoom, the event attracted 106 participants from government, academia, civil society, and the private sector, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. The webinar successfully reinforced the impact of HDX alumni, strengthened the program’s branding, and expanded professional networks for future collaborations. Participants gained valuable insights into the role of digital innovation in governance, inspiring further research and implementation. With increasing interest in HDX, this event marked an important step in fostering a community of digital leaders committed to transformative governance.
