On March 14, 2025, the Smart Governance: Leveraging Digital Tools for Better Public Services webinar was hosted by the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) as part of the Happy Digital X (HDX) program. This online event showcased the success of digital governance transformation in Bali Provincial Government and Denpasar City Government, particularly in enhancing Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE). The session featured insights from key speakers, including I Gusti Ayu Laxmy Saraswaty and I Gusti Ngurah Puspa Udiyana, who discussed the integration of SIMPEG, a digital personnel management system, to improve decision-making and administrative efficiency. The webinar aimed to highlight the impact of digital transformation in governance, inspire policymakers and digital practitioners, and encourage collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector. More than 200 participants joined the session, exceeding the initial target of 100 attendees. Key outcomes included increased awareness of smart governance strategies, stronger engagement in the HDX 3.0 program, and enhanced networking opportunities for future collaborations in digital innovation. The event successfully reinforced the role of technology in advancing efficient and transparent public services while strengthening partnerships for future digital governance initiatives.
