On February 16, 2025, Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (TSEA) had the honor of hosting a delegation from WEGO Group, a leading Chinese multinational specializing in engineering, equipment, and business investment. The visit, led by WEGO Group Chairman Mr. Chen Lin, aimed to explore collaboration opportunities, particularly in sustainability initiatives in Indonesia and Bali. The delegation sought insights on sustainable development strategies from TSEA and its partners. The visit began with an introduction to the delegation about TSEA and Kura Kura Bali’s initiatives in fostering cross-border collaboration, innovation, and education. Discussions focused on potential partnerships in sustainable infrastructure, environmental technologies, and investment opportunities. The delegation then proceeded to Kura Kura Bali tour island, where they explored eco-friendly projects, including sustainable business development, renewable energy solutions, and green tourism concepts. A key outcome of the visit was the proposal of a collaboration model between WEGO Group and TSEA, laying the groundwork for future engagement. Follow-up actions include further discussions on refining the collaboration framework, with TSEA’s Global Partnership Director overseeing the progress.
